Pastor Scott has served as a United Methodist pastor in Indiana since 1978. He retired in July 2018 after forty years of faithful spiritual leadership. His call to ministry – to preach and teach and help followers of Jesus grow stronger in faith – still tugs on his heart. He has stepped out of retirement and stepped into the role of pastor at the North Bend UMC.
Becky is the lovely wife of Pastor Scott. They’ve been married since 1981. Hope is their wonderful daughter. She is a recent graduate of Asbury University.
Pastor Scott graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Masters of Divinity degree in 1982. He graduated again from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2018 with a Doctor of Ministry degree.
On the top of his list of favorite things to do when not working are: playing golf with Becky, fishing, keeping up with Cubs baseball and Bears football and Wildcat basketball. When inspired and time permits, Pastor Scott loves to read and write and paint.
Pastor Scott’s life verse which has motivated his devotional life and much of his pastoral ministry is 2 Timothy 3:16-17 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
