Pastor Dawn Trapp is now in her second career, proving that we are never to old to be called into ministry by our Lord and Savior. She first started her career as a Certified Rehabilitation Counseling, working with persons with Traumatic Brian Injury for twenty years, as well as being a Licensed Professional Counselor (Michigan). She began her professional ministry career in 2007, as a Children’s Minister at Lindenwald UMC (Hamilton, Oh) and then in 2012 she started her first appointment as the pastor at Elizabethtown UMC (North Bend, Oh). Last June, 2017, she began serving here at North Bend UMC. Pastor Dawn also works at the Christ Hospital as a Palliative Care Chaplain, on as need basis.
Pastor Dawn graduated from the Methodist Theological School of Ohio in 2016 with a Master of Divinity and became a Provisional Elder in 2017. She completed her chaplaincy training at the Christ Hospital Network in 2014; graduated from Kent State in 1994 with a Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Eastern Kentucky University in 1981.
Pastor Dawn has been married to John for over thirty-five years and they have three adult daughters, Eva, Beth and Janette. Eva is married to Nick Coppula and they live in Pittsburgh; Beth lives in Columbus and Janette lives in San Francisco. Eva gave her parents the best present ever in 2017 with the birth of their first grandchild, Kyllian Fox.
